Who am I

I am James Moore, a lifelong Pennsylvanian, father of three, business owner, community leader, and Independent candidate for Governor of Pennsylvania.

I was not raised in politics, and I did not come from wealth, powerful connections, or a political family. I come from the same kind of working communities found across Pennsylvania, where people work hard, help their neighbors, raise their families, and expect government to use their tax dollars responsibly.

My life has been shaped by family, business, youth sports, and community service. Those experiences have taught me that leadership is not about holding a title or standing behind a podium. It is about accepting responsibility, making difficult decisions, listening to people, and being willing to answer for the results.

COMMUNITY LEADERSHIP AND BUSINESS EXPERIENCE

Since 2014, I have served as President of the Connellsville Basketball Association. Through that role, I have helped operate leagues, organize programs and events, manage budgets, work with coaches and volunteers, resolve problems, and create opportunities for children and adults throughout the community.

Over the years, I have coached and worked with thousands of young people in basketball, football, wrestling, boxing, mixed martial arts, and other athletic programs. I have seen firsthand how much of a difference one responsible adult, one coach, or one community program can make in the life of a child.

I have also held supervisory and management positions with several companies, where I gained practical experience overseeing employees, organizing daily operations, resolving workplace problems, meeting performance expectations, and working with both customers and management.

I previously owned and operated Jimmy Dawgz, which gave me firsthand experience with rising costs, regulations, staffing, customer service, financial risk, and the everyday challenges faced by small-business owners. I am also developing CRCLZ Sports & Entertainment, LLC and Moore Strategic Holdings as future business ventures.

These experiences have required practical leadership. There was no political party, government agency, or team of consultants making the decisions for me. I had to listen, solve problems, manage limited resources, accept responsibility, and keep moving forward.

MY BACKGROUND

I didn't grow up wealthy, connected, or with a political career mapped out for me. I grew up in a family where money mattered, family mattered, and you learned pretty quickly that if something needed done, you figured out how to do it.

I graduated from the Connellsville Area School District and have spent most of my adult life doing the same things millions of Pennsylvanians do every day: working, raising a family, running businesses and nonprofits, coaching, serving my community, managing people and budgets, taking financial risks, making mistakes, learning from them, and trying to build something better for my kids.

I've had successes and setbacks. I've made difficult decisions and learned some lessons the hard way. I'm not running for governor because I've spent my life preparing for a political career. I'm running because I've spent my life in the real world, where decisions have consequences and bills still have to get paid when something doesn't go according to plan.

That's the experience I'm bringing to Harrisburg.

WHY I AM RUNNING

I am running for Governor because Pennsylvania has been controlled for too long by political parties, career politicians, lobbyists, large donors, and government insiders who are more interested in protecting the system than fixing it.

Working families are being squeezed by property taxes, utility bills, healthcare costs, food prices, housing expenses, and government fees. Small businesses are struggling with rising costs and regulations. Parents are losing confidence in our schools. Communities are dealing with crime, addiction, deteriorating infrastructure, and a government that often feels distant and unaccountable.

Meanwhile, the two major parties continue blaming one another while many of the same problems grow worse year after year.

I am not running to serve a political party or build a career in government. I am running because government is supposed to serve the people, and too many Pennsylvanians no longer believe that it does.

Pennsylvania needs leadership willing to challenge both parties, examine every part of state government, protect taxpayers, support working families, strengthen our communities, and make decisions based on what is right rather than what is politically convenient.

I believe public office is a responsibility, not a prize. The Governor should never be treated as someone above the people. The Governor works for the people.

THE KIND OF GOVERNOR I WILL BE

Pennsylvania Belongs to the People

Not the political parties. Not the lobbyists. Not the government insiders.

The mission of this campaign is to return Pennsylvania government to the people it was created to serve.

We are building a government that protects working families, respects taxpayers, supports small businesses, strengthens schools, restores public safety, expands opportunity, and holds public officials accountable for their decisions.

That means delivering meaningful property-tax relief, protecting residents from unreasonable utility costs, preparing students for real life and real careers, rebuilding roads and bridges, supporting police and emergency responders, protecting victims, combating fraud and corruption, and making every level of state government more transparent.

It also means treating Pennsylvanians with respect. Government should not ignore rural communities, struggling cities, small towns, seniors, veterans, parents, workers, farmers, business owners, or families who feel they no longer have a voice.

This campaign is not built around loyalty to the left or the right. It is built around loyalty to Pennsylvania.

I am running as an Independent write-in candidate because good ideas do not belong to one party, and neither does Pennsylvania, and neither does this Commonwealth. I will work with anyone who is serious about improving Pennsylvania, but I will not surrender my judgment to party leaders, special interests, or political pressure.

We can build a Pennsylvania where families can afford to stay in their homes, children receive an education that prepares them for adulthood, businesses can grow, communities are safe, and government once again earns the public’s trust.

That is the mission of this campaign: to put people before politics and build a stronger, fairer, safer, and more accountable Pennsylvania for everyone.

This campaign is about responsible leadership, honest government, and putting people before politics. I believe Pennsylvania can be stronger, safer, and more prosperous when we focus on common-sense solutions, fiscal responsibility, and supporting families, workers, and local communities across our state.
